These are a few of the mobile devices, interfaces, and systems for which I influenced the digital and physical design as well as the overall experience. The range of my efforts focused on design research, trend analysis, user interface design, system design, physical form, input, and control design, carrier strategies and more.
Product, service and system design work included the very earliest Android phones (CLIQ) through morphing phones (ROKR) through the Droid family, numerous tablets and wearables. Overall, I was involved with over a dozen releases of Android and because of that experience, now have a good sense of how the Android business evolves and matures in multiple verticals and domain (e.g., Telecomm, Automotive, Consumer Products).
During this time, I also lead large cross-disciplinary teams to envision, prototype, and craft multi-dimensional stories of the future Product and Service portfolio for Motorola Mobility. These served as an experiential roadmap for the next 5-7 years for the entire company.
At the time, I supported the customer business strategies of over 20 global carriers and helped secure their business commitment to our experiential roadmap samples and demonstrations. Primary carrier involvement included Vodaphone, Orange, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, Telus, and Boost Mobile.
